The easiest solution

For most of the lives’ problems, the easiest and simplest solution is — start to act now. Or the days will keep passing and you’ll probably see yourself researching solution to the same questions/problems even after 6 months or a year too.

Who doesn’t love some extra cash/multiple income sources? Everyone does, right? Freelance is one of the most helpful tools that can keep your pockets heavy all the time.

Freelancing is for everyone

Freelance is not only for the techies but also for individuals with non-tech background and even for those who do not have any educational background. Freelance — in simple terms — is to sell what you’re best in.

Where the actual problem lies?

You’d have noticed a term coined in — ‘Sell’. This is one of the major aspects of freelancing. You have to learn selling your services. But before that, you have to know yourself in what service you’re best in. Because whenever I meet people, they in reality do not know what they’re best in. They start acting like an all-rounder. For example, I met this person from digital marketing background, and during the conversation I asked him what he is best in. He mentioned he is best in SEO, Social Media, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Lead Generation. And I asked then — that means you are not best in email marketing and other digital mar…? And the person got quick to answer even before I completed the question — Oh yes, I know and I have done it in the past with a huge success rate and that makes me perfect in this ever growing and very vast field. I wonder ‘wow’. I asked how many years you have spent in Digital Marketing including your training/courses? The person mentioned — I have spent around 3.5 years. Great, huh.

I asked a few technical questions from what he was best in but none of his replies satisfied me except from the email marketing zone — which he got a huge success in the past. So email marketing in reality was his strong zone or I’d say he was best in.

So the actual problem lies even before selling your services is to know what you’re best in. Selling itself will become easy then.

You do not need to go after your clients, money, learn selling skills, and all; because whatever the other person will ask you about your services, you know how to tackle and answer the queries because this is what you’re best in.

Conclusion:

  • Know what you’re best in before you start selling your services
  • Find potential clients looking for the services you want to offer. There are multiple online and offline platforms you can go with
  • Increase your network — it amazingly works. Unfortunately, most of the people hesitate to network and ask people
  • You hesitate from yourself only by overthinking — ‘what if’. You need to get out of this ‘Inception’ zone immediately to move a step forward.

Congratulations, you’ve signed your first deal.
